Limits

  • Subject detection is a backdrop heuristic tuned for a plain, evenly lit background — a cluttered or textured background may not separate cleanly.
  • Requires a one-time ~4 MB engine download before any photo can be processed.
  • Photos are processed one at a time on your device, so a very large batch takes longer on a phone than on a computer.

How to use it

  1. Choose photos

    Pick a batch of images from your device. Each is read on your device and never uploaded.

  2. Download the processing engine

    The first time, tap the one-time ~4 MB download — it is the image engine that finds the product in each photo. It stays on your device afterwards.

  3. Pick or add a size preset

    Choose one of the three generic presets, or add your own with the aspect ratio, size and background rules you need.

  4. Process the batch

    Each photo is cropped toward the subject, padded to the preset's aspect ratio, its background pushed toward white, resized, then checked against the preset — with real per-photo progress.

  5. Fix and download

    Open a failing tile to see which specific rules it missed, adjust the crop margin or background whitening for that photo alone, then download the whole set as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Every photo is read, processed and validated on your device. A small one-time engine download (about 4 MB) is required the first time, after which the tool works offline.

How does automatic cropping find the subject?

It looks for edges against the photo's own background using an on-device edge detector — a heuristic tuned for a plain, evenly lit backdrop, not full subject segmentation. A cluttered or textured background may not separate cleanly, and you can widen the crop margin or turn off background whitening for a single photo in the editor.

What does a failed photo mean?

Each processed photo is checked against the selected preset's rules — aspect ratio, minimum and maximum size, maximum file size, subject coverage and background whiteness. A failing tile names every rule it didn't meet, not just the first one, so you know exactly what to fix.

Can I use my own size rules instead of the three built-in presets?

Yes. The three starting presets are generic examples — add your own with the aspect ratio, size limits and background requirement you need, and it is saved for reuse across the batch.
