About this tool
What you provide
- An original price with one or two discount percentages, or the final price you paid
- The price and pack size of up to six products, in g, kg, ml, L or pieces
- Two offers to compare: plain price, % off, buy X get Y free, a bundle, or second item off
What you get
- What you pay, what you save, and the true combined discount when discounts are stacked
- The price per unit for each product and which one is cheaper, as a percentage
- Which of the two offers is cheaper per item
Limits
- Two products only compare when their units are of the same kind — a weight cannot be compared against a count.
- The VAT breakdown uses the 15% rate; Shopping Extras is the tool for another rate.
- It works on the prices you type in — there is no price database and no store lookup.
How to use it

Set the currency and pick a tab
Type a currency label, then choose Discount, Price per unit or Compare offers.

Enter what that tab asks for
Discount takes a price with one or two percentages — or the final price, to work your discount out backwards — Price per unit takes up to six products with a price, a quantity and a unit, and Compare offers takes two deals with a deal type each: simple price, % off, buy X get Y free, a bundle, or second item % off.

Read the verdict
You get what you pay and what you save with the true combined discount, or a Best value chip on whichever product or offer is cheapest per unit or per item — and on the discount tab you can tick Prices include 15% VAT to see the VAT portion.
