What is my IP?

Your public IP, location and device info

Read locally on your device

What is this?

Your public IP is the address websites see when you browse. It reveals your approximate location and internet provider — useful for debugging connections, VPN checks, and understanding your privacy. Looking it up means your address reaches our server and the geolocation provider that returns the city; our own code keeps no record of it, but our host's request logs retain it for 30 days.

See your public IP address, approximate location, ISP, and browser details. The lookup sends your address to our server and a geolocation provider, and request logs retain it for 30 days.

About this tool

What you provide

  • Nothing to enter — the page reads what your device and your connection already reveal.

What you get

  • Your public IP address (IPv4 or IPv6), with the approximate city, country and internet provider.
  • Device details read locally: browser, operating system, screen, timezone and languages.

Limits

  • Needs an internet connection: the address and location are looked up live over the network.
  • The location is derived from the IP address, so it is approximate, and a VPN, proxy or mobile network shows theirs rather than yours.
  • Your IP address is not logged or stored by the lookup.

How to use it

  1. Open the page

The lookup runs on its own, and your public IP appears with the city, country and provider when they are known.

  2. Read the device rows

Under "Read locally on your device" you get the browser, operating system, screen, timezone and languages, taken straight from your device.

  3. Copy what you need

Tap Copy beside any row to put that value on your clipboard; "What is this?" explains what the address reveals.
