Redact Text New
Find and redact personal information — privately, on your device.
Finds structured identifiers only — emails, phone numbers, IBANs, card numbers, Saudi IDs/Iqamas, URLs, IP addresses, and API keys or secrets. It does not detect names or addresses in free text — use manual selection for those.
Nothing is redacted until you press Redact below.
Manual selection
Select any text above — a name, an address, anything the scan missed — then redact it. This is how names and free-text addresses get covered.
AI name/place detection Beta
Runs entirely on your device — nothing is uploaded.
Redaction style
Nothing you paste, upload or produce here is stored, logged, transmitted or persisted. No history for this tool. Works fully offline.
Find personal information in pasted text — emails, phone numbers, IBANs, card numbers, Saudi IDs, URLs, IP addresses, and API keys — using exact, checksum-verified pattern matching, right on your device. Review every match before anything changes: dismiss false positives, or select any other text (like a name or address) to redact it manually. Choose a block, label, or custom-character redaction style, then copy or download the result. Automated detection won't catch everything, especially Arabic names and unusual formats — always review before sharing. Nothing you paste or produce here is ever stored, logged, or transmitted.

Limits
- Detects structured identifiers only — email, phone, IBAN, card number, Saudi ID/Iqama, URL, IP address and API keys; names and addresses in free text need manual selection.
- Automated detection is not exhaustive, especially with Arabic names and unusual formats — review every highlight before sharing.
- The optional on-device AI name and place detection is experimental and downloads about 138 MB the first time.
- Up to 500,000 characters; nothing you paste or produce is stored, logged or transmitted.
How to use it
-
Paste your text
Paste or type into the scan box, or upload a .txt file; exact-match detection runs as you type and highlights what it finds, and nothing is redacted yet.
-
Review every highlight
Tap a highlight to switch it between "Will redact" and "Kept"; each one shows its kind and whether it came from an exact match, your own selection, or the model with a confidence figure.
-
Add what the scan missed
Select any text, choose Name or Address, and tap "Redact selection"; for the optional AI pass, tap "Download engine (~138 MB · one time)" once, and "Scan with AI (beta)" takes its place.
-
Choose a redaction style
Pick "Block (████)", "Label ([EMAIL])", or "Custom character" and type the character to use.
-
Redact, then copy or download
Tap "Redact" to produce the output with a count of the items covered, then use "Copy" or "Download .txt".
