Area & Volume Calculator On-device
Areas and volumes with unit conversion.
Fill in every measurement.
For property and land, square metres and hectares are the usual units in the Gulf.
Calculate the area of rectangles, triangles, circles, trapezoids and parallelograms, and the volume of boxes, cylinders, spheres, cones and triangular prisms — with metric and imperial units, and land-area units for property sizes. Runs entirely on your device.
About this tool
What you provide
- The shape you are measuring — five area shapes and five volume shapes
- Its dimensions, in centimetres, metres, feet or inches
- The unit you want the answer in, including square metres, hectares and acres
What you get
- The area or volume, converted into your chosen unit
- A labelled diagram showing which dimension is which
Limits
- Area and volume only — no perimeters, no surface areas, no irregular shapes.
- The maths assumes exact geometric shapes, so an irregular room or plot has to be split into parts first.
- Runs entirely in your browser and nothing you enter is uploaded.
How to use it
Choose Area or Volume
Switch between the Area and Volume tabs; each one offers its own five shapes.
Pick the shape
Choose from rectangle/square, triangle, circle, trapezoid and parallelogram for area, or box, cylinder, sphere, cone and triangular prism for volume; the diagram beside it labels each letter.
Enter the measurements
Fill every field the shape asks for, set Measurement unit to m, cm, ft or in, and set Result unit to the unit you want the answer in.
Read the result
The area or volume appears in your chosen unit as soon as every field is filled, with a Copy button and Copy link to this result beneath it.
Frequently asked questions
Which shapes are covered?
Area for rectangles, triangles, circles, trapezoids and parallelograms, and volume for boxes, cylinders, spheres, cones and triangular prisms.
Can I change units, or use land-area units?
You pick the unit you measured in and the unit you want the answer in, including land-area units such as square metres and hectares that are used for property in the Gulf.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The geometry runs in your browser, so it keeps working with no connection and nothing you enter is uploaded.
