About this tool
What you provide
- One or more PDF files.
- A quality preset: Smallest (screen), Balanced (ebook) or High quality (print).
What you get
- A smaller PDF, with the size before and after shown.
Limits
- Files up to 100 MB.
- Needs a one-time download of the roughly 12 MB Ghostscript engine before the first run.
- Password-protected PDFs are rejected — remove the password first.
- If a PDF is already compressed, the tool says so and offers to keep the original.
How to use it
-
Add your PDFs
Drop PDFs on the box or tap it to choose them; you can add several and remove any of them with the × button.
-
Pick a quality preset
Choose Smallest (Screen), Balanced (Ebook) or High quality (Print) — Balanced is selected to begin with.
-
Download the engine once
On the first run tap "Download engine (~12 MB · one time)"; once your device has it, the Compress button appears in its place and is never asked for again.
-
Compress and save
Tap Compress, then save each file from its own button or take them all as one ZIP; a PDF that is already compressed says so and offers to keep the original instead.
